Jeannie Marshall
a native of Washington, DC, began her
professional music career in 1993 after being selected as one of the
winners of the Fish Middleton Jazz Scholarship awards.
She has appeared in the Smithsonian Institution's
"Great Ladies of Song" (a tribute to some of the great ladies who sang
with Duke Ellington) and co-starreds in the Smithsonian's "Jazz Ladies:
Louis Armstrong's Daughters" where she performed and sang the music of
the late Ethel Waters.
Ms. Marshall was nominated for the 1997 "Mayor's Arts Award' and in
1998, she was awarded a grant by the DC Commission on the Arts and
Humanities.

Keter betts, Buck Hill, Webster Young, Calvin Jones, Steve Abshire, Jerry Gordon, etc.
